Release

Release.

“STRESS. ANXIETY. DEPRESSION. ON THE RISE!”

This seems to be the rhetoric all over the news and social media, yet very few sources are presenting SOLUTIONS to these conditions.

With all the challenges that our youth are facing right now, it unfortunately comes as no surprise that mental health conditions are increasing. Our kids’ routines have been upturned, their “normal” is nowhere to be found, and the societal pressure to be hip, cool, fashion-forward, trendy, or to “fit in” in any way possible is out of control.

And in order to cope with these seemingly unrealistic expectations, our youth are falling victim to what I call, the “Band-Aid Effect.”

“Release” is a 60-minute, powerful, outward-promoting keynote that takes a deep dive into emotions past, present, and future. Somewhere along the way, we (as an international society) started believing that showing or expressing emotion is a weakness.

I assure you. It is not.

Emotion is a gift, and it’s time someone showed these kids how to properly express their emotions and release trauma, so they can love themselves and evolve into the powerful beings they are.

What people are saying about “Release”...

“Kiana delivers a powerful message with energy and conviction!”

— Teacher, Wyoming Department of Education

“She (Kiana) had amazing energy and a powerful message. Release what you feel, create from the heart, you have the power, and ‘It’s going to be ok.’ “

— Teacher, Native American Education Conference

Here’s a little taste of what you will experience during Release…

  • Move.

When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. Endorphins reduce pain and boost pleasure, resulting in a feeling of well-being

  • Create.

Participating in the arts can enable people to deal with a wide range of mental health conditions. It helps people to improve their mental health through creativity.

  • Breathe.

Self-inquiry and related styles of meditation or breathwork can help you “know yourself.” This can be a starting point for making other positive changes.

  • Write.

Writing is a simple activity that’s been shown to have significant mental and physical health benefits and to improve a person’s overall quality of life.
